This historic site is one of the features of US National Park Service's Nez Perce National Historical Park. The battlefield marks the last conflict of the Plains Indian Wars and the only one that ended in conditional surrender.

This 2,000 year old archaeological site is a Native American bison kill and campsite and is located west of Havre on Highway 3, behind Holiday Village Mall. It was discovered in 1961 and has been maintained in its natural state and is open daily 9am to 2pm.

Fort Assinniboine

This State Historic Site was constructed in 1879 and its main purpose was to stop attacks from Lakota Sioux Indians led by Sitting Bull. There are several buildings still standing, of the 104 constructed. Pre-arranged tours are available and necessary to see the fort.
