The Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge is located northeast of Lewistown and encompasses over one million acres of land, including the 245,000-acre Fort Peck Reservoir. Native prairies, coulees, badlands and more are featured in this wildlife area. Hunting, fishing, photography, hiking, wildlife observation, boating and camping are just a few of the activities practiced in this park.
